Accelerated Genetics is excited to announce Andrew Perrine, of Keokok, Iowa, as the Veterinary Intern. Based out of the Production Facility in Westby, Wis., Perrine will be responsible for working with the herd veterinarian on special projects and animal health, assisting with collections, and helping with the processing of semen.
Perrine worked at the Keokok Veterinary Hospital for six years, and also grew up working at several dairy and swine operations. He was a herdsman at the Iowa State University Dairy Research Farm, where he helped manage the 360-cow, primarily Holstein, herd. Perrine was also a Professional Swine Management Intern, where he worked at a boar stud.
This spring, Perrine graduated from Iowa State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and Dairy Science. He will be a freshman at Iowa State University's Veterinary School in the fall.
