Accelerated Genetics Starts Multiple Building Projects...Again

Accelerated Genetics is excited to announce the beginning of three additional building projects at the production facilities located in Westby, WI. The first building project is a new EU Isolation Barn (location pictured above), which will house 24 bulls during their isolation prior to becoming EU qualified. The second building project is the addition of a new bull housing barn (location pictured below) which will hold 60 EU qualified sires in-waiting. The last project will be a new feed station to help ensure top quality feed storage and efficiency for all of Accelerated Genetics sires. All three building projects are scheduled to be complete in July or August of 2008.

Genetic Visions Has Moved To A New Location

Genetic Visions, a subsidiary corporation, wholly owned by Accelerated Genetics, has recently moved to a new facility located in Middleton, Wisconsin. With the new move, Genetic Visions staff will gain more space to dedicate themselves to research. Genetic Visions, Inc., tests DNA from cattle to identify genes influencing production traits, hair color and animal health and viability.

World Ag Expo A Big Success

World Ag Expo 41st annual show came to a successful end on February 14th after a three-day show and attendees left pleased with their visit! Nearly 100,000 attendees, 1,200 volunteers and 1,600 exhibitors made the 2008 World Ag Expo a success. Show-goers from across the nation traveled to the Expo to see all the show had to offer, but most notable were the number of international guests attending the show. At the close of the event there were more than 1,500 registered international guests from 74 countries.

The 2008 Expo brought a host of new additions to the three day event including the unveiling of the new Dairy Technology Center and surrounding outdoor dairy exhibits that increased the grounds by 100,000 square feet. With the 2008 show completed...the 2009 show is already starting to be planned. The next World Ag Expo will be Feb. 10-12, 2009.
