National June Dairy Month

June is National Dairy Month, and has been since 1937. June Dairy MonthDuring its first two years, the celebration was called National Milk Month and ran from June 10 to July 10. The promotion expanded in 1939 to include more dairy products.

One of the best ways to get a real appreciation for the importance of dairy in your state is to go to a breakfast on a farm. Several counties in every state hold annual breakfasts at a host farm. If you have kids, this is a great experience for them, and you'll enjoy it, too.

Visit the National Dairy Council's Website for great ideas, events,
and foods to eat during National June Dairy Month!

Temperature Monitor Ampules To Be Used in All Domestic Shipments

Thaw AmpuleFertility First is not just a catch phrase but a serious commitment from all areas within our company to insure the highest quality product reaches our customers.

As of last fall, Accelerated Genetics began using TEMPERATURE MONITOR AMPULES in all of it's Domestic semen shipments – this includes semen shipped in dry shippers and in liquid tanks – and to both Non-Member and Member Domestic Markets.

These temperature monitor ampules, when correctly placed in a shipper tank, will remain unchanged as long as a proper temperature in the tank is maintained. The blue monitor ampules will be tripped if the tank warms above -100°C (-150°F) or if the cane containing the ampule is exposed to outside temperatures long enough to cause possible damage to the semen. While a tripped blue ampule does not necessarily mean that the semen is damaged, it is an indication that the ampule was exposed to a temperature variation between the time it was packed in the shipper tank and when the ampule was inspected by our field representative.

Accelerated Genetics is committed to ensure the highest quality products are delivered to our producers. For more information about Temperature Monitor Ampules, contact your local Accelerated Genetics Representative or call 1-800-451-9275 today!
