Accelerated Genetics Announces Summer Interns
Summer interns have begin their 3-month educational experience with Accelerated Genetics. These Internships provide valuable real-life experiences through a variety of opportunities working hands-on within the A.I. industry. These experiences will help individuals prepare them for their future careers.
Meet the 2007 Summer Interns |

Lana Olson of Hutchinson, Minnesota has been selected as the Accelerated Genetics Public Relations and Advertising Intern. She will be based out of Administrative Headquarters located in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
During the summer, Lana will be responsible for interviewing, researching and writing feature articles for the Genetic Trends newsletter, writing news releases, designing promotional brochures, helping with the development of advertising campaigns, and representing Accelerated Genetics at various conferences, conventions, dairy shows and events throughout the summer. |
| Ashley Gillis of Schuylerville, NY, Kurt Statz of Reedsburg, WI, Sarah Zavondy of Boyceville, WI, and Jake Cramer of Watertown, WI have been selected as the Marketing Sales and Service Interns. During their summer internships, they will assist in providing relief service for assigned A.I. Technicians, conduct market penetrations studies and assist with retail sales routes. Other responsibilities will include assisting with sire and daughter photography. |

Trent Gabler of Augusta, WI and Lindsay Morris of Watertown, WI have been selected as the Marketing Services Interns. They both will be based out of Administrative Headquarters located in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
Throughout the summer, Trent and Lindsay will assist with locating and selecting Accelerated Genetics progeny for picturing and tour groups; work with the picturing crew in the preparation and photography of these daughters; host international and domestic tour groups; and coordinate travel itineraries. |

New Employees Complete Training Experience
After a full week of training, new employees, including the 2007 Summer Interns, have graduated from Accelerated Genetics educational training course. All new employees complete a week of intense training on the various products and services that are offered at Accelerated Genetics.

Accelerated Genetics Holds Customer Luncheon at Costa View Farms in California

In early May, a number of producers gathered at Costa View Farms in California for a Customer Luncheon and Progeny Preview sponsored by Accelerated Genetics. At this appreciation meal, local producers of California had a chance to gather with friends and other state-wide dairy producers as well as preview some of Accelerated Genetics' top progeny. A variety of progeny were on display such as Champion, Bullet, Ito, Galleon, Nifty and many other great Accelerated Genetics' sires. Costa View Farms operates a 6,000 cow dairy facility in Madera, CA. |
Don't Forget About 'Calendar Cows' This Summer
Every year Accelerated Genetics hosts a PHOTO CONTEST and this year's theme is "Calendar Cows". These photos should be dairy or beef cows and/or calves photographed throughout the various seasons of the year.
All photographs entered should be color. Digital photos are preferred if they are sent as a high resolution (300 dpi) JPEG with approximate photo size at 5" x 7" or larger. They can be sent via email or on a CD.
The entry deadline is: October 10, 2007.
