Young Producer Meltdown a Hot Hit

The Young Producer Program at Accelerated Genetics held the Annual Summer Meltdown at the end of June. The event included touring Lepeska Dairy in Montfort, WI, owned and operated by Jim and Linda Lepeska, highlighting their 100 registered Holsteins which are housed in a newly built compost bedding pack barn.

After lunch and activities at Memorial Park in Livingston, WI, the day continued with a two-stop industry tour of Trelay Farms, Inc. and Rural Route 1 Popcorn. Trelay planted themselves as the largest seed technology company in the world and also created Rural Route 1 Popcorn, a national award winning popcorn product.
