Wisconsin Livestock ID Consortium Produces Newsletter The Wisconsin Livestock Identification Consortium released their first newsletter. WLIC is a non-profit, producer led organization comprised of 60 member organizations representing most livestock species and industry stakeholders in the state of Wisconsin. By educating producers about disease traceability and livestock identification, WLIC seeks to protect animal health, safeguard market access for producers and enhance the marketability of livestock products. The newsletter will serve as a tool to keep membership and interested parties informed about the progress of livestock identification in Wisconsin. It will provide status updates on the USDA National Animal Identification System (NAIS), share practical applications of the latest livestock ID technologies, and provide perspectives from various livestock groups, producers and industry leaders.
