Sire Analyst

Position Responsibilities: The Sire Analyst career is to enhance Accelerated Genetics’ position in the industry through procurement and development of high-quality genetics. In this position, the Sire Analyst will be responsible for evaluating, creating, and procuring the highest quality genetic young sires. This person will also assist with sire evaluation for type, work with Marketing personnel on product knowledge, recruiting quality young sire herds, represent Accelerated Genetics at major breed activities and industry functions, locate progeny to photograph, as well as perform any other duties directed by the Vice President of Genetics. A college degree in agriculture, at least two years experience with classification background, and excellent oral and written skills are required. Salary is commensurate with a person’s qualifications.

Veterinary Technician

Position Responsibilities: The Veterinarian Technician will assist the Staff Veterinarian in all aspects of sire health and management. This person will be responsible for scheduling herd health tests, have a working knowledge of all Certified Semen Services and International health tests, preparing all testing labels and documentation for submission to appropriate laboratories, assist in diagnostic, medical and surgical procedures, perform laboratory testing consisting of parasite identification, urine analysis, blood work and microbiological analysis as well as many other duties directed by the Staff Veterinarian. This person should be detail orientated and dedicated to the care of animals. A Veterinarian Technician Degree, Associate Degree or a four-year college degree in Agriculture is required. Salary is commensurate with a person’s qualifications.


A.I. Technician (Full Time)

Job Responsibilities: Call on active member-customers and potential member-customers within the boundaries of assigned geography for the purpose of providing insemination service and sales of semen and products. Maintain accurate records at the farm level invoice members on a current basis and submit reports to the Accounting Department as outlined in the company policies. Keep inventories in an orderly and accurate manner. Attend seminars training sessions and employee meetings as scheduled. Previous A.I. and dairy reproductive experience a plus. Laboratory Biotechnician Assistant

Position Responsibilities: To provide assistance in the development, production and commercialization of specialized semen products.  These products must be produced with the utmost of quality and consistency to assure that the desired outcome can be achieved.  In addition to work as a team member to assure that the goals of Accelerated Genetics are met.

Duties will include, but not limited to: Prepare media, extenders and stock solutions according to defined Accelerated Genetics’ procedures; Assist with initial fresh semen evaluation according to defined Accelerated Genetics’ procedures; Assist in the development and production of new semen technologies; Assist with semen quality control according to defined Accelerated Genetics’ evaluation procedures; Assist with semen processing and freezing according to defined Accelerated Genetics’ procedures; Assist in producing product and administering ongoing field research trials to enhance semen quality and/or efficiency; Maintain processing equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications; Maintain workplace in a professional and clean manner; Perform other duties and special assignments as directed. 

Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in molecular biology, chemistry or related field is preferred. Entry level position. Zero to three years of experience in laboratory work. This person should be able to work with little supervision, be able to organize time and work schedule. This person should have the ability to think creatively, be organized, be analytical, receptive to a broad array of research areas and have good written communication skills. Salary is commensurate with person’s qualifications and will reflect present market for positions of similar responsibility.
